Protected Cell Company A Protected Cell Company (PCC) is created along similar lines to Rent-a-Captive in an increasing number of locations (i.e. Channel Islands) which have introduced specific PCC legislation.
A PCC is more sophisticated than a Rent-a-Captive because PCC legislation provides for legally enforceable segregation of the individual cells, meaning that the assets in one cell cannot become a target for the creditors of any other cells or the general creditors of the captive.
